Tasting Notes: The nose is bold and punchy, with cinnamon sugar donuts and sliced watermelon sprinkled with Tajin. Caramel sauce is prevalent here with sweet leather and mature oak. The palate is rich and enveloping, with plenty of dark dried fruits, coffee, and leather. While not as fruit forward as the Seelbach’s 15 batch, this one definitely carries more prominent cherry notes, leaning toward strawberry preserves. The finish trails long and dry, with white pepper, leather, and worn oak, with vanilla sweetness and slight cocoa nib bittering continuing well into the long finish.
